Profile

 Photo Corporation Group Profile

The Photo Corporation Group’s core business is the retail operation of mass-market mobile and permanent photographic studios. These studios operate in Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Ireland and Holland under the Portrait Place and PixiFoto trading names.

Operating predominantly in retail stores forming part of large chains and independent shopping centers, PCG has approximately 2,000 full-time, part-time and casual employees. In addition to the retail operations, PCG has film processing and printing laboratories in Australia and the United Kingdom that provide the retail operations with portraits.

The growth in the number of studios that PCG now operate since it commenced operations in 1972, and the growth in revenue returns to the stores in which the studios operate, confirms the consumer demand for the product and its acceptance by retailers as a viable product line in their stores.

Peter Watt is the owner and chief executive of the Group. Mr Watt took control of the Australian and New Zealand operations in 1990. The Group’s U.K operations were acquired in 1993, the Dutch operations commenced in 1994 and Ireland in 1995.
